Student Support and Wellness

College is an exciting time full of new experiences and personal growth. Student Support Coordinators are here to help you as you grow your artistic identity, celebrate wins and navigate any challenges you experience as a valuable member of the 91精品 community.

Student Support Coordinators provide non-clinical mental health support to help students adjust to college, manage stress, foster coping skills, connect with therapists or other community resources and more.

Student Support Coordinators are available for individual or in-person appointments Monday-Friday from 9am 4pm. To make an appointment or learn more about available campus or community resources, email studentsupport@miad.edu.

Counseling

While 91精品 does not offer clinical counseling on site, full-time 91精品 students are eligible to receive free mental health support through the Marquette Counseling Center. Information can be found .

Medical Care

Full-time 91精品 students are eligible to receive free or low cost basic medical care through the Marquette Medical Clinic. Please note that the Marquette Medical Clinic is unable to provide students with doctor’s notes. Information can be found .

Health Insurance

Students are strongly encouraged to obtain health insurance while attending college. International students are required to carry health insurance. Optional coverage is available through The Affordable Care Act Marketplace. Information about the coverage options and costs is available at .

MAKE! Participants Reflect on Creativity, Community and Growth

Alicia Zapata, a second-year MAKE! participant from Chicago and a K-8 art teacher at Waters Elementary School in Chicago, IL, Kelly Wendel, an eighth-year participant and art teacher at Nicolet High School in Glendale, WI and Gail Kowsky, a second-year participant and sixth- and seventh-grade art teacher in New Brighton, Minnesota, reflected on what they gained from this year檚 program.
