Dr. Barbara McLaughlin designs and teaches courses in both writing and humanities. A graduate of the University of MassachusettsBoston (BA, MA in English) and of Marquette Universitys doctoral program in English, she has presented and conducted workshops nationally on writing, literature, teaching practices and service learning. McLaughlins short story, , won first place in the Milwaukee Chamber Theatres November 2017 Tell Us a Story contest. Currently, Professor McLaughlin’s writing and scholarship explores memoir, autobiography, creative nonfiction and the role of story in culture.
