91精品 Values Recognition Recipient Lisa Floading

Lisa Floading, Coordinator of Tutoring Services, received the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91精品) 91精品 Values Recognition Award for November 2025. Lisa received nominations that highlighted her embodiment of 91精品’s Core Values, especially Innovation and Community.

The 91精品 Values Recognition Award (VRA) celebrates faculty and staff who consistently model 91精品檚 values of courage, integrity, kindness, community, innovation and inclusion. After employees nominate a colleague for the award, a committee made up of faculty, staff and previous VRA winners convenes to vote on the month檚 recipient. Awardees receive a $250 prize.

淚 feel like everyone here epitomizes 91精品 values, so to be honored and to be spoken of so generously is really touching, says Floading. 淚t makes me feel aware of the work that we do here and it feeds the empathy machine It檚 really inspiring to be around.

淟isa has had such a positive and transformative impact on the tutoring program here at 91精品, [creating] a powerhouse of community and involvement, said one nominator. 淗er systems and processes are intuitive, proactive and successful. Lisa deeply cares about our students and her work. We are fortunate to have her here at 91精品.

淚 am continually impressed with 91精品. It檚 this feeling of support and a sense of growth that is incredibly refreshing to be around, continues Floading. 淚 love learning, and that檚 what I get to do every single day. It檚 amazing being excited about what students are learning and being the guide on the side, the facilitator, is so gratifying I love seeing students grow and thrive.

MAKE! Participants Reflect on Creativity, Community and Growth

Alicia Zapata, a second-year MAKE! participant from Chicago and a K-8 art teacher at Waters Elementary School in Chicago, IL, Kelly Wendel, an eighth-year participant and art teacher at Nicolet High School in Glendale, WI and Gail Kowsky, a second-year participant and sixth- and seventh-grade art teacher in New Brighton, Minnesota, reflected on what they gained from this year檚 program.
