Product Design students at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91��Ʒ) are keeping up to date with the emerging technologies that are becoming industry standard. In the junior Advanced Digital Modeling course, instructor Frank Savage has incorporated Gravity Sketch, a virtual reality platform, into a shoe design assignment.

Greta Berens �26 (Fine Art + New Studio Practice) was accepted to participate in the summer Yale Norfolk program in Norfolk, Connecticut. The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91��Ʒ) junior is one of 25 students who will attend the six-week program.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Milwaukee Public Market looked to the Lubar Innovation Center at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91��Ʒ) for designs reflecting the market and Milwaukee.

An annual tradition at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design from late March through September, the juried First-Year Experience Exhibition celebrates students� yearlong personal and professional growth.

Phoebe Nelson �25 (Illustration) came to the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91��Ʒ) to study children�s book illustration. Now at the end of her senior year, she is writing and illustrating a children�s book about Eugénie Brazier, the first person to get six Michelin stars, for her Senior Exhibition project.

Galilea Cerda �26, Tina Voith �26 and Madi Weglarz �25 are the first three Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design students selected to receive Independent Inquiry Program stipends to investigate new technologies and their applicability to art and design education. As first-time applicants, each receives a stipend of $1,200 for a six-week Mini Inquiry this summer.

Sebastian Penn �25 (Animation Track in Illustration), �From Home to Legacy: Black and Queer Bars in Milwaukee.� Sebastian is a President�s (Honor) List student from Holman, Wis.

McKenna Martin �25 (Product Design), �Hyacinth.� McKenna received first place for her design for the 2023 Delta design project/competition at 91��Ʒ, is on the Dean�s List and is from Fond du Lac, Wis.

91��Ʒ seniors Rita Jennings �25 (Fine Art + New Studio Practice), Noah Teague �25 (Communication Design) and Fabian Rico Sanchez �25 (Product Design) explore empathy, connection and innovation through their capstone projects.

Tamar Cawthra �25 (Illustration), �A Haunting in Vicksburg.� Tamar is a President�s (Honor) List student from Howell, Mich.

This year, Milwaukee Summerfest partnered with the Lubar Innovation Center at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (91��Ʒ) to design the 2025 lineup poster.

Tatiana Osburn �25 (Fine Art + New Studio Practice), �Solace In My Pews Of Devotion.� Tatiana is from Milwaukee, Wis.

Lauren Blood �25 (Communication Design; Business minor through Marquette), �Raða.� Lauren was a Finalist at the recent 2025 United Adworkers Showcase Awards and is from Kansas City, Kansas.

Megan Ramirez �25 (Interior Architecture and Design), �The Sentinel Apartments.� Megan is a President�s (Honor) List student from Milwaukee, Wis.

International students Eeshaan Dutt �26 and Chelsea Mody �25 share more than both being from India; they came to 91��Ʒ based on the creativity and welcoming community they found at the college.
